This is the poetry which stirred my heart at 11:54 p.m. on a Saturday night

I was sitting here checking out more music on Pandora when I tuned into my Daniel Johnston channel for this joyful little gem. I can’t relate very well to Daniel and I don’t like all his stuff. But this simple little song made me smile and tap my feet and search for the lyrics online to sing along.
I’m not sure I could identify a chord organ if one passed me on the street, but other than that, I agree with every word.

“Chord Organ Blues” by Daniel Johnston

Everything’s big in Texas
You know it is
I think I might have made a big mistake o o o
Chord organ blues
Chord organ blues
Singing those chord organ blues
Wherever I go it’s a wild wind
Maybe someday it’ll blow me back home again
Chord organ blues
Chord organ blues
Singing those chord organ blues
For every chord that is played
There is a reward in my heart that is paid
‘Cause my soul loves music
And it loves to hear it made

Singing those chord organ blues
